JM2295

JM2295 is an investigational small molecule anticancer agent classified as a platinum-based compound. It is a novel oral platinum(IV) complex developed to improve upon the efficacy and safety profile of existing platinum drugs such as cisplatin and carboplatin. The drug was designed to be administered orally, unlike traditional intravenous platinum agents, with the aim of providing greater convenience and potentially reduced toxicity. JM2295 exerts its antitumor effects by forming DNA crosslinks, thereby inhibiting DNA replication and transcription, ultimately leading to apoptosis in cancer cells. It was primarily investigated for use in solid tumors, including ovarian cancer.
