Overview

JMB-2002 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed as a neutralizing agent targeting the receptor binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein. It was identified from a naïve human antibody library using a phage-to-yeast platform and demonstrates potent inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 by blocking viral entry into host cells. Preclinical studies showed efficacy in animal models, and clinical trials have demonstrated that it is well tolerated in healthy adults at single doses ranging from 5 mg/kg to 50 mg/kg. The drug is being developed for both prophylactic and therapeutic intervention against COVID-19, with activity reported against multiple variants of concern[1][3][4][9].
