Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JMB-2502 is a novel, potent bispecific antibody designed to dual-neutralize B-cell activating factor (BAFF) and a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL). Developed by Shanghai Jeyou Pharmaceutical, JMB-2502 features a 2+2 valency IgG structure composed of high-affinity anti-APRIL IgG and anti-BAFF nanobodies, combined with a modified Fc region to extend its half-life and silence effector functions. By dual-neutralizing BAFF and APRIL, JMB-2502 inhibits downstream signaling through BAFF-R, BCMA, and TACI receptors, thereby suppressing B-cell development, plasma cell survival, and autoantibody production. It is being developed for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), IgA nephropathy (IgAN), and other B-cell-mediated autoimmune diseases.
