Overview
**JMKX002992** is a novel oral small molecule PROTAC (proteolysis targeting chimera) designed as an androgen receptor (AR) degrader and antagonist for prostate cancer. It targets the AR, a key disease driver in prostate cancer, including in patients resistant to current therapies, by inducing its degradation to block signaling. Developed by Jemincare's Small Molecule Innovation Center, it was exclusively licensed worldwide to Genentech (Roche Group) in 2022 for $60M upfront, up to $590M in milestones, and tiered royalties; Genentech leads further development, with Phase 1 trials initiated in 2023 for advanced prostate cancer.[1][2][3][7][14]
