Overview

JMT202 is a recombinant fully human anti-βKlotho monoclonal antibody that acts as an Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1c/beta-Klotho receptor complex agonist. It regulates glycolipid metabolism by binding to the βKlotho protein and specifically activating the Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1c/beta-Klotho receptor complex, thereby mimicking the action of its natural ligand, FGF21 protein. This mechanism makes it potentially useful for treating metabolism-related diseases such as dyslipidemia, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), type 2 diabetes, and obesity. The primary clinical indication under investigation is lowering triglyceride levels in patients with hypertriglyceridemia. Preclinical studies have shown a good safety profile, long dosing intervals, significant reduction in triglyceride levels, and hypolipidemic effects on the liver[1][3][5].
