Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JMT205 is an investigational monoclonal antibody developed by Shanghai JMT-Bio Technology, a subsidiary of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, for the prophylaxis of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) in newborns and infants. It is designed to provide passive immunity during the RSV season by targeting the RSV fusion (F) protein, thereby preventing viral entry into host cells. In clinical development, JMT205 is being evaluated in Phase 1 studies to assess its pharmacokinetics, safety, and immunogenicity, specifically in comparison to nirsevimab (Lecviochu). The drug is administered as a single intramuscular injection.
