Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JN002 is a novel antioxidant ophthalmic solution being developed for the treatment of moderate to severe dry eye disease (DED). Developed by **Suzhou Biomay Biopharmaceutical** (Biomay Pharma) in collaboration with **Soochow University** and the **Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University**, JN002 is a nano-antioxidant designed to serve as a potent scavenger of **reactive oxygen species (ROS)**. By specifically and continuously clearing ROS at the site of oxidative stress on the ocular surface, JN002 aims to break the vicious cycle of oxidative damage and inflammation, thereby promoting the self-repair of the ocular surface and improving tear film stability. As of late 2025, the drug is undergoing a first-in-human Phase 1 clinical trial in China.
