Overview
JNJ-78306358 is a bispecific antibody designed to redirect T cells to kill tumor cells expressing human leukocyte antigen-G (HLA-G). It binds simultaneously to CD3 on T lymphocytes and HLA-G on cancer cells, facilitating T cell-mediated cytotoxicity against HLA-G-positive tumors. The drug has been evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for advanced solid tumors, including colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. Its mechanism involves stimulating peripheral T cell activation and cytokine release. Development has been led by Janssen Research & Development in collaboration with Zymeworks[1][2][4].
