JNJ-79032421 is a bispecific T-cell engager antibody designed to target both mesothelin (MSLN), a tumor-associated antigen, and CD3 on T-cells. By binding simultaneously to mesothelin-expressing tumor cells and CD3-positive T-cells, it redirects and activates the patient’s own immune system to attack cancer cells. This immunotherapy is being developed primarily for advanced or metastatic solid tumors, including ovarian cancer (high grade serous epithelial ovary, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal cancer), malignant mesothelioma (pleural and peritoneal), and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials to determine its safety, tolerability, and recommended phase 2 dose[1][2][3][4][5][7][9].
