Overview

JNJ-87189401 is a bispecific antibody designed to target both prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in prostate cancer cells, and CD28, a co-stimulatory molecule on T-cells. By binding to PSMA on tumor cells and CD28 on T-cells simultaneously, the drug aims to enhance T-cell activation and anti-tumor immune responses specifically against prostate cancer. It is being developed for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, including metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials as part of combination therapy with another bispecific antibody (JNJ-78278343) targeting KLK2-CD3. The developer is Janssen Research & Development LLC, part of Johnson & Johnson[1][2][3][4][5][7].
