Overview
**JNP-0201** is a proprietary intravaginal ring (IVR) delivering a fixed-dose combination of natural **progesterone** and **17β-estradiol** for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to treat menopause symptoms. It utilizes a multi-segment design with homogenized drug in an ethylene vinyl acetate polymer matrix for sustained, localized vaginal delivery over extended periods, potentially weeks to months, bypassing first-pass hepatic metabolism to improve safety and compliance compared to oral or compounded HRT options. Originally developed by Juniper Pharmaceuticals using their IVR platform, it has transitioned to Dare Bioscience (formerly known as DARE HRT1).
