Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Joymax is a veterinary liquid blend of organic acids and copper sulfate developed and marketed by Navana Pharmaceuticals. It contains formic acid (30%), ammonium formate (24%), propionic acid (3%), citric acid (0.5%), lactic acid (0.5%), acetic acid (8.5%), and copper sulfate (0.5%). Joymax is primarily used in poultry to lower the pH of drinking water and the gastrointestinal tract, creating an unfavorable environment for pathogens, maintaining balanced microbiota, and enhancing digestion and nutrient absorption. It is indicated during risks of waterborne diseases, enteric disease challenges, feed transitions, the first week of life, during or after antibiotic use, and during periods of stress (such as heat stress, weather changes, transport, diseases, and beak trimming).
