Overview

JP-1366 + aceclofenac is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents. JP-1366 is a novel, potent potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that selectively and dose-dependently inhibits gastric H+/K+-ATPase, leading to suppression of gastric acid secretion. It has demonstrated strong efficacy in preclinical models for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and gastric ulcers, showing greater potency than TAK-438 (vonoprazan) in some studies. Aceclofenac is an oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), structurally related to diclofenac, used primarily for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Aceclofenac acts by inhibiting both COX isoforms but displays higher selectivity for COX‑2 over COX‑1, which may confer improved gastrointestinal tolerability compared to other NSAIDs[1][3][5][6].
