Overview

JS-K is a nitric oxide donor with antiproliferative activity. It works by releasing nitric oxide inside cancer cells, which can induce apoptosis and inhibit cell growth. JS-K also inhibits glutathione S-transferases (GSTs), making cancer cells more susceptible to chemotherapy. Additionally, it inhibits angiogenesis, which is the formation of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. JS-K has shown activity against various cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), multiple myeloma, liver cancer, lung cancer, and prostate cancer.
