Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JS018-1 is a next-generation engineered interleukin-2 (IL-2) cytokine being developed as an immuno-oncology agent by Shanghai Junshi Biosciences. It is designed to selectively engage IL-2 receptor signaling in a way that reduces stimulation of regulatory T cells while preserving or enhancing activation of effector T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, thereby aiming to augment anti-tumor immunity with an improved therapeutic index compared with native IL-2 or first-generation IL-2 analogs.[2][14] The program has been optioned for co-development by Coherus BioSciences, but public information indicates it remains in early-stage development without disclosed clinical trial data or regulatory approvals.[2][14][10][16]
