Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JS112 is a small molecule Aurora A inhibitor being developed by Junshi Biosciences for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. Aurora A is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in cell division, specifically in centrosome maturation, spindle assembly, and chromosome segregation. Overexpression of Aurora A is associated with various cancers and poor prognosis. By inhibiting Aurora A, JS112 aims to disrupt the cell cycle and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. The drug received investigational new drug (IND) application approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China in February 2022 and is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials.
