Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JS115 is a B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) being developed by Junshi Biosciences in collaboration with Coherus BioSciences for the treatment of multiple myeloma. BCMA is a cell surface receptor highly expressed on malignant plasma cells, making it a validated target for selective drug delivery in hematologic malignancies. JS115 consists of a monoclonal antibody specific to BCMA conjugated to a cytotoxic payload. The mechanism involves the binding of the antibody to BCMA on the cancer cell surface, followed by internalization of the ADC and subsequent release of the cytotoxic agent, which induces apoptosis in the target cell while minimizing systemic toxicity.
