Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JS207 + platinum is a combination therapy consisting of the bispecific antibody JS207 and a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent, such as cisplatin or carboplatin. JS207, developed by Shanghai Junshi Biosciences, is a recombinant humanized IgG4 κ bispecific antibody designed to simultaneously target programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA). By blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 and PD-1/PD-L2 pathways, JS207 restores anti-tumor T-cell activity, while its inhibition of VEGFA suppresses tumor angiogenesis and vascularization. The addition of platinum-based chemotherapy provides a synergistic effect by inducing DNA cross-linking and damage, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing tumor cells. This combination is primarily being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials as a first-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), often in further combination with other agents like pemetrexed or paclitaxel.
