Overview

JST-018 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Just-Evotec Biologics for the treatment and prevention of orthopoxvirus infections, including smallpox and mpox (monkeypox). It is a broadly neutralizing antibody that targets the L1 protein, a highly conserved surface protein on the mature virus (MV) form of orthopoxviruses, which is essential for viral entry into host cells. Developed using Just-Evotec's J.DESIGN platform, JST-018 is intended to provide a potent therapeutic option that can be administered intramuscularly. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
