JTE-350

JTE-350 is an investigational diagnostic allergen extract developed by Torii Pharmaceutical for the identification of allergic sensitization through skin prick testing. It is currently in Phase III clinical development in Japan. The agent is designed to be applied topically to the skin as drops, where it interacts with allergen-specific Immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies bound to the surface of cutaneous mast cells. In sensitized individuals, this interaction triggers a localized type I hypersensitivity reaction, resulting in a visible wheal and flare response. This diagnostic tool is intended to aid clinicians in evaluating patients with suspected allergic diseases, such as pollinosis, by confirming the presence of specific allergic triggers.
