JTL-T-01 is an investigational autologous, point-of-care regenerative therapy being developed for osteoarthritis that combines stromal vascular fraction (SVF) cells derived from a patient’s adipose (fat) tissue with an injectable scaffold to be administered intra-articularly. The product is designed to harness the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties of adipose-derived stem and progenitor cells together with the mechanical and lubricating benefits of a viscosupplement-like scaffold, with the aim of reducing pain and inflammation and slowing cartilage deterioration in osteoarthritic joints.[3][9] Developed by Jointechlabs, JTL-T-01 remains in the clinical development stage with supporting preclinical work funded in part by an NIH Small Business (SBIR) grant conducted in collaboration with Rush University.[3][9]
