Jueyin Granules

Jueyin Granules (JYG) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Shanghai Yueyang Integrated Medicine Hospital for the treatment of plaque psoriasis. Originally created in the 1950s by the surgeon Xiz Han, the formulation has been used clinically for over 50 years. It is composed of seven herbal ingredients: abalone (Haliotis diversicolor), honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa), Chinese foxglove (Rehmannia glutinosa), snake needle grass (Hedyotis diffusa), woad (Isatis tinctoria), and wild turmeric (Curcuma aromatica). The treatment is based on the TCM theory of heat-clearing and blood-cooling (HCBC) to address psoriasis blood-heat syndrome. Clinical studies have investigated Jueyin Granules both as a monotherapy for mild-to-moderate psoriasis and as part of a sequential treatment regimen following biologic therapy (such as ixekizumab) for moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.
