Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jufu mixture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Gansu Provincial Hospital of TCM, specifically indicated for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation (LDH). The formulation is designed to address the "qi stagnation and blood stasis" pattern often observed in LDH patients. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukins (IL-1β, IL-6), which are implicated in nerve root inflammation and pain. Additionally, Jufu mixture promotes local blood circulation and reduces edema around the compressed nerve roots, facilitating functional recovery. It is widely used within the Gansu provincial healthcare system as a non-surgical intervention for spinal degenerative diseases.
