Juheli

Juheli is a recombinant human interleukin-11 (rhIL-11) product developed by Qilu Pharmaceutical. As a thrombopoietic growth factor, it mimics the activity of endogenous IL-11 by binding to the interleukin-11 receptor alpha (IL-11RA) subunit. This interaction recruits the signal-transducing subunit gp130, activating downstream signaling pathways such as JAK/STAT and MAPK. These pathways stimulate the proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells and megakaryocyte progenitor cells, as well as the maturation of megakaryocytes into functional platelets. Juheli is primarily used in clinical settings for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia (CIT) in patients with non-myeloid malignancies, helping to reduce the duration and severity of platelet nadirs and the requirement for platelet transfusions.
