Juniorlax

Juniorlax is an osmotic laxative formulation developed and marketed by Ardeypharm for the treatment of chronic constipation in children aged 2 to 11 years. It contains Macrogol 3350 (polyethylene glycol 3350) as the primary active agent, which acts by binding water molecules in the intestinal lumen to increase stool volume and soften consistency. This physical osmotic effect stimulates bowel movements without being absorbed into the bloodstream. The formulation also includes electrolytes (sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, and potassium chloride) to ensure that the patient's fluid and mineral balance remains stable during treatment. It is administered orally as a flavored solution.
