Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Jurona virus (JURV) is a novel oncolytic virus belonging to the Vesiculovirus genus, characterized by its tumor selectivity, fast kinetics, low seroprevalence, and minimal toxicity in humans. It functions as an immunotherapeutic agent by inducing tumor regression and modulating the tumor microenvironment to activate immune effectors. This leads to a state conducive to anti-tumor activity, and JURV has demonstrated synergy with anti-PD-1 therapy in preclinical models of hepatocellular carcinoma, improving survival rates.
