JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA XC

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA XC is a sterile, biodegradable, non-pyrogenic gel implant classified as an injectable dermal filler. It consists of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) produced by Streptococcus species of bacteria at a concentration of 15 mg/mL and includes 0.3% lidocaine as a local anesthetic to reduce injection discomfort. The product is designed for injection into the lips for lip augmentation, correction of perioral rhytids (lines around the mouth), and improvement of infraorbital hollowing (undereye hollows) in adults over age 21. Its mechanism involves temporarily adding volume or fullness to targeted facial areas by integrating into the tissue matrix and attracting water molecules due to HA’s hydrophilic properties.
