Juvéderm Volite XC

Juvéderm Volite XC is an injectable dermal filler developed by Allergan (now part of AbbVie) designed to improve skin quality attributes such as hydration, elasticity, and surface smoothness. It consists of cross-linked hyaluronic acid at a concentration of 12 mg/mL, formulated with 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride to minimize discomfort during injection. Utilizing proprietary VYCROSS technology, the product combines low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid chains to enhance cross-linking efficiency and durability. Unlike traditional volumizing fillers, Volite XC is intended for intradermal injection to treat fine lines and superficial cutaneous depressions across the face, neck, décolletage, and hands, with effects typically lasting between 6 to 9 months. Its primary mechanism involves the hygroscopic nature of hyaluronic acid, which binds and retains water molecules within the dermis to provide deep hydration and subtle refinement of skin texture.
