Overview
JV-1-36 is a synthetic peptide **antagonist of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH)**. It inhibits GHRH receptor signaling, which is implicated in cancer cell growth, proliferation, and survival. JV-1-36 reduces reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and has demonstrated anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidative activities in preclinical studies, notably in A549 lung cancer and endometriotic cells. This mechanism makes GHRH antagonists like JV-1-36 promising for experimental cancer and endometriosis therapies.
