JW1601 is an investigational, orally administered small molecule antagonist of the **histamine H4 receptor**[3][7][9]. Developed as a first-in-class therapy for **moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis**, JW1601 acts via a dual mechanism: it selectively blocks the activation and migration of immune cells responsible for atopic dermatitis and inhibits histamine signaling implicated in itching[2][3][5][9].
