Overview

JWATM203 (ET-1402) is an investigational autologous T-cell therapy developed using Eureka Therapeutics’ ARTEMIS T-cell receptor mimic (TCRm) platform to target alpha‑fetoprotein (AFP) for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and hepatoblastoma. The product consists of a patient’s own T cells transduced with a lentiviral vector encoding an AFP‑specific TCRm construct, enabling recognition of AFP-derived peptide–HLA complexes on tumor cells and subsequent T‑cell–mediated cytotoxicity.[3][7][13] Eureka has advanced the AFP TCRm counterpart of JWATM203 into a Phase I/II trial in the United States, and JW Therapeutics holds rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize JWATM203 in China and certain Asian territories, where HCC represents a major unmet medical need.[3][7][13]
