JWATM214 is an autologous T-cell therapy currently being developed for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The candidate is constructed using Eureka Therapeutics' proprietary **ARTEMIS** platform, which utilizes an antibody-derived binding domain to target **Glypican-3 (GPC3)**, a protein frequently overexpressed in liver cancer. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies, the ARTEMIS platform engages the endogenous T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling complex, which may reduce the risk of cytokine release syndrome (CRS) while maintaining high cytotoxic potency. JWATM214 further distinguishes itself by incorporating Lyell Immunopharma's **c-Jun overexpression** technology. This modification is designed to enhance T-cell fitness and prevent exhaustion within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, potentially leading to improved durability and efficacy in solid tumor indications. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China.
