Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JWCAR031 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting Delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3). It is being developed by Shanghai Ming Ju Biotechnology, a subsidiary of JW Therapeutics, for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC). DLL3 is a Notch ligand that is highly expressed on the surface of SCLC cells and other neuroendocrine tumors but has minimal expression in normal tissues, making it a promising therapeutic target for selective tumor elimination. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express a CAR that specifically recognizes DLL3, enabling the immune system to identify and lyse malignant cells. JWCAR031 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
