Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JWCAR104 is an autologous, dual-target chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Juventas Cell Therapy. It is engineered to simultaneously target two distinct B-cell antigens, CD19 and CD22. This dual-targeting strategy is intended to enhance therapeutic efficacy and prevent disease relapse caused by antigen escape, a phenomenon where cancer cells lose expression of a single target antigen to evade the immune system. By binding to both CD19 and CD22 on the surface of malignant B-cells, JWCAR104 triggers T-cell activation and targeted cytotoxicity. It is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with B-cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (B-NHL).
