JWTCR001 is an autologous T cell therapy in which patient-derived T cells are engineered ex vivo to express a T cell receptor (TCR) specific for the melanoma-associated antigen 4 (MAGE-A4), a cancer-testis antigen overexpressed in various solid tumors. The modified T cells are reinfused into the patient to mediate targeted cytotoxicity against MAGE-A4-expressing tumor cells. The therapy is being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors with positive MAGE-A4 expression refractory to prior standard systemic treatments. The mechanism of action includes MAGEA4-targeted immunologic cytotoxicity and T lymphocyte replacement. JWTCR001 is co-developed by JW Therapeutics, 2Seventy Bio, and MediGene and tested in China in collaboration with institutions such as Peking University[1][2][3][5][7][9][10].
