Overview

JX10 is an investigational small molecule drug developed for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS). It is a member of the Stachybotrys microspora triprenyl phenol family, derived from the fungus *S. microspora*. JX10 acts through dual mechanisms—thrombolytic activity to promote physiological fibrinolysis and anti-inflammatory effects, including inhibition of soluble epoxide hydrolase. These actions aim to restore critical blood flow following acute stroke and potentially extend the therapeutic window for intervention beyond that of current standard thrombolytics (from 4.5 hours up to 12 or even 24 hours after symptom onset). Clinical trials have shown that JX10 improves neurological outcomes in patients with AIS who are ineligible for standard reperfusion therapies, with a favorable safety profile and no increase in symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage compared to placebo[1][2][3][4][5][7].
