JX7002

JX7002 is an investigational monoclonal antibody developed by Zhejiang Jingxin Pharmaceutical that targets proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9). It is being developed for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia. The drug's mechanism of action involves binding to circulating PCSK9, thereby preventing it from interacting with and inducing the degradation of low-density lipoprotein receptors (LDLR) on the surface of hepatocytes. By maintaining higher levels of LDLR, JX7002 facilitates the increased clearance of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) from the plasma. JX7002 is currently in mid-stage clinical development, with trials focused on evaluating its lipid-lowering efficacy and safety profile in patients who require intensive cholesterol management.
