Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JY016 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Beijing Dongfang Baitai Biotechnology for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It functions as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by specifically targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1). By binding to PD-L1 on the surface of tumor cells and antigen-presenting cells, JY016 prevents its interaction with the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells. This blockade disrupts the inhibitory signaling pathway that tumors utilize to evade immune surveillance, thereby restoring and enhancing the anti-tumor activity of the patient's immune system. JY016 has been evaluated in early-phase clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with various advanced malignancies.
