Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JY22 is a recombinant protein-based bone repair drug being developed by Hangzhou Jiuyuan Gene Engineering for the treatment of bone defects. It is a recombinant human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 (rhBMP-2) related product, designed to promote bone regeneration. The mechanism of action involves the induction of mesenchymal stem cell differentiation into osteoblasts through the activation of bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathways. This osteoinductive property is critical for repairing significant bone voids or defects where natural healing is insufficient. JY22 is currently in the IND-enabling or IND application stage of development.
