Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JY23-2 is a recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) fusion protein developed by Hangzhou Jiuyuan Genetic Biopharmaceutical as a drug-device combination product. It is specifically designed for the treatment of bone injuries and fractures. The therapeutic component, rhBMP-2, is a potent osteoinductive cytokine that promotes the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts, thereby facilitating bone formation and repair. By utilizing a fusion protein modality and a drug-device combination approach, JY23-2 aims to optimize the localized delivery and stability of the growth factor at the site of injury. The product is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, with research activities projected through 2027.
