JY47 is a Class I innovative monoclonal antibody developed by Hangzhou Jiuyuan Gene Engineering Co. Ltd. that targets the CD47-SIRPα (Signal Regulatory Protein alpha) checkpoint axis. By binding to SIRPα, an inhibitory receptor expressed on myeloid cells such as macrophages, JY47 disrupts its interaction with CD47 (the "don't eat me" signal) expressed on the surface of tumor cells. This blockade enhances the innate immune system's ability to recognize and phagocytose cancer cells. While primarily developed for oncology indications, JY47 has also received clinical trial approval from China's NMPA for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) with liver fibrosis, representing an expansion of its immunomodulatory applications.
