Overview

JY54-2 is a Class I new drug peptide candidate developed by Hangzhou Jiuyuan Gene Engineering Co., Ltd. for the treatment of obesity and overweight. It functions as a Dual Amylin and Calcitonin Receptor Agonist (DACRA). By simultaneously activating the amylin and calcitonin receptors, JY54-2 is designed to induce satiety and improve metabolic parameters. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development in China, representing a next-generation approach to metabolic disease management beyond single-target therapies.
