JYB1931

JYB1931 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Jemincare that targets complement component 5 (C5). By binding to C5, JYB1931 inhibits its cleavage into the potent anaphylatoxin C5a and the initiator of the membrane attack complex (MAC), C5b. This inhibition effectively shuts down the terminal complement pathway, which is overactive in various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. JYB1931 is currently in clinical development for the treatment of complement-mediated diseases, including paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and kidney-related conditions such as atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS).
