Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JZ-603 is a preclinical-stage protein therapeutic candidate being developed by Protheragen for the treatment of allergic asthma and allergic rhinitis. The drug is designed to target and neutralize Immunoglobulin E (IgE), a central mediator in the type I hypersensitivity reactions that characterize allergic diseases. By sequestering IgE, JZ-603 prevents its binding to the high-affinity FcεRI receptors on mast cells and basophils, thereby inhibiting the release of histamine and other pro-inflammatory mediators responsible for airway inflammation and nasal symptoms.
