Drug intelligence / Profile preview
JZB35 is a biosimilar candidate of follitropin alfa (reference product Gonal-f), developed by Jiangsu Jingze Biopharmaceutical. It is a recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (rhFSH) produced using recombinant DNA technology. JZB35 is primarily indicated for ovulation stimulation in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), and for the induction of ovulation in women with hypothalamic-pituitary dysfunction. By binding to the follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) on the surface of ovarian granulosa cells, it mimics the action of endogenous FSH to stimulate the recruitment and development of multiple ovarian follicles. JZB35 is currently in Phase III clinical development in China.
