Overview
JZC11 is an intra-articular injection developed by Shanghai Jingfeng Pharmaceutical for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. It is a formulation of sodium hyaluronate, a high-molecular-weight polysaccharide that acts as a viscosupplement. By restoring the rheological properties of the synovial fluid, JZC11 provides lubrication, shock absorption, and mechanical protection to the joint tissues, which helps to alleviate pain and improve mobility in patients with osteoarthritis. The drug has been evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China (e.g., CTR20200604) to assess its efficacy and safety compared to placebo at various dosing schedules.
