Drug intelligence / Profile preview
K-001 is an oral, investigational **Spirulina-derived peptidoglycan complex** developed by Hwealth Pharmaceutical as an antineoplastic immunomodulatory biologic. It is prepared from fermentation-derived marine microorganism material and is intended to stimulate innate immune activity and thereby support antitumor immune responses. Clinical development in China has included advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, and advanced gastric cancer. The identifier is non-specific internationally: Kowa has also used \"K-001\" for a distinct fixed-dose combination of pemafibrate and tofogliflozin, which is not the same product.
