Overview

K-757 + sitagliptin is a combination of two small molecule drugs. Sitagliptin is an oral dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, which increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), leading to increased insulin secretion and decreased glucagon release in response to meals[5][6][1]. K-757 is an investigational compound that has been studied for its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy overweight or obese volunteers[2]. The combination may be under investigation for metabolic diseases such as obesity or type 2 diabetes.
