Overview

K12 + liposomal glutathione is a combination formulation containing two components: K12 (which, based on context and available evidence, is most likely *Streptococcus salivarius K12*, a probiotic strain) and *liposomal glutathione*, a highly bioavailable form of the antioxidant glutathione encapsulated in liposomes. - **K12** (Streptococcus salivarius K12) is used as an oral probiotic, primarily for supporting oral and upper respiratory health, by producing bacteriocins that inhibit pathogenic microorganisms. - **Liposomal glutathione** enhances the delivery and absorption of glutathione, an endogenous tripeptide that acts as a key antioxidant, supports immune function, and participates in detoxification processes. Glutathione acts as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase, participates in leukotriene synthesis, and plays a critical role in hepatic biotransformation and detoxification. Liposomal delivery may increase body stores and impact immune markers such as lymphocyte proliferation and NK cell activity[4][7]. - This combination is marketed as a dietary supplement aiming to provide oral and systemic health benefits via immune support, antioxidant effects, and microbial modulation.
