KAb201 is a human-sheep chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a protein commonly overexpressed in certain cancers such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. It has been developed for use as a radioimmunotherapy agent by conjugation with radioactive iodine-131 (I-131), enabling targeted delivery of radiation to CEA-expressing tumor cells. The drug was investigated primarily for the treatment of surgically unresectable pancreatic cancer, with administration either intravenously or intra-arterially to maximize local concentration and minimize systemic toxicity. KAb201 was developed by Xenova Biomedix/Xenova Group and underwent phase I/II clinical trials[2][3][5].
